What is SISFS?

The Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS) is a flagship program launched by the Government of India to support early-stage startups in transforming innovative ideas into scalable businesses.

Under the scheme, recognized incubators provide structured seed funding and ecosystem support to eligible startups.

This initiative aims to catalyze entrepreneurship and build a robust startup ecosystem across the country by bridging the early-stage funding gap and providing comprehensive support to promising ventures with high growth potential.

Objectives of the Scheme

Enable Innovation

To enable startups to develop proof of concept, prototype, product trials and market entry. We provide the resources to turn innovative ideas into tangible solutions.

Bridge Funding Gap

To reduce the early-stage capital gap for technology-driven and scalable ventures. We ensure promising startups don't fail due to lack of initial funding.

Strengthen Ecosystem

To strengthen the startup ecosystem with continuous guidance, mentoring, facilitation and networking opportunities that help startups grow sustainably.

Preferred Sectors

We give special preference to startups working in these critical agriculture and climate sectors

Clean Energy Solutions for Agriculture

Innovations in solar-powered irrigation, renewable energy for farm operations, and sustainable power solutions tailored for agricultural needs.

Climate Resilient Crop Inputs

Development of drought-resistant seeds, climate-adaptive fertilizers, and inputs that help crops withstand changing climate conditions.

Tech for Agriculture Waste Management

Technological solutions for converting agricultural waste into valuable products, reducing environmental impact while creating economic value.

Water Conservation & Precision Agriculture

Innovations in smart irrigation, water-saving technologies, and precision farming techniques that optimize resource use and increase yields.
